The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations applied.

Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. To upgrade gear players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. Leveling

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the stats of the base item will increase by only a tiny amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.

Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can boost the stats of the item.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get an exact roll. If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements.
